Cut Backs?
My fear that is int he attempt to get rid of Americas top preforming corporate "suits" businesses will become crippled without adequate leadership from people that understand the business. I do agree that there are plenty of unqualified people out there for the positions that they are in however. So I have created a rating system:
1. If your business is making gains in revenue than you get a checkmark
2. If your the business professional that everyone goes to with questions because you have the answers another checkmark
3. You know your employees and what motivates them to do there jobs (checkmark)
4. If you are willing to work for a $1 for a year and not get a bonus if your business is successful (remove a checkmark cause your a poser and an idiot on top of it)
5. If you got to where you are simply because you have worked your ass off and made your way through the ranks (checkmark)
If anyone wants to add to this list feel free. Here is the idea, you are looking for 3 out of 5 here. Now that doesn't necessarily mean that you are the person for the job, but its a step in the right direction.
So I am realizing now that I am getting a little off topic. The people who are "analizing" the data and making the determination that high profile exects are the ones that need to be cut are missing a key factor. Most executives will cut the bloated salaries of there managment and low level employees and use that money to give themselves a raise. Its business 1 0 1. Keep production up while working with less headcount = a bonus for making your company more efficient.
So what about those middle men in this situation. Should employees be the ones suffering in all of this? I would think not. I think that at the rate things are going we may actually create a bigger problem. Here is the scenario that I will leave you with; an employee is at the top of there game and working it through the ranks when they then realize that there future advancement could actually cause them to become unemployed over time. This is something that I have seen myself so I know this happens no matter how outlandish it may seem.
Are we creating lazy/unproductive employees in the attempt to save a couple dollars?

How I know your dog is gay
So is starts the second you walk into the house. If you are a male (which the dog is) the dog begins drooling uncontrollable on top of the stairs waiting for you to come up and touch it. If you don't touch it right away it will follow you around until you do. It makes you a little uncomfortable some times as it will continue to push up and rub on your leg until you pat his head (typical guy really). Once you rub is head the next thing he dose is roll over and try and get you to his underside. I know what your thinking, every dog wants there belly rubbed (when I said underside i meant this dog could care less about getting his belly rubbed , he scoots on his back trying to get your hand close to his "underside").
Once the handshakes are out of the way this dog will proceed to try and sniff your "junk". These may be normal mating rituals for a dog, but I don't know about you but I expect someone to buy me a drink before they attempt to lick the ice cream from the cone (still trying to keep these posts as family friendly as possible, may have gone a little far there (parents insert edit here)). But honestly what happened to foreplay.
I will shoe this dog off and kick him away for 20 minutes before he finally gives up on the hunt. I will proceed to grab a perfectly chilled hops beverage from the fridge, kick off my shoes and nestle my lazy ass onto the couch when BAM..........what the F*ck was that. This little stud has 2 paws wrapped around my leg ridding my shin like Julia Roberts on Richard Gere in Pretty Woman. Biggest disappointment is the lack of strawberries and chocolate sauce.
My friend must see there terror in my eyes as Butches (Butch is the the dog, maybe should be changed to another 5 letter word that starts with B) inny becomes an outty. This isn't like the sight of corkscrew (we have all seen pigs and don't lie you know you laughed even if it was terrifying and discusting). My fear honestly isn't that this dog is "hugging" my leg, it that I don't wanna do laundry if he cant keep himself under control. So my friend grabs Butch by the collier and has his feminine but out the door.
Even though Butch is a male he still acts like a bitch. Sits outside that door crying and begging for another go at it. It is amazing to me that this dog has fetish for my leg. The next time I was there he gave the same treatment to another one of my friends (is it mean that I didn't warn him when the dog started sniffing his junk :).
So here is my list for all of you dog owners our there to tell if your dog is gay:
*If you dog has no interest in humping dogs of the opposite sex
*If your dog has a fetish for shoes for any reason
*If your dog likes to sit on the laps of males and not with females
*If your dog prefers sniffing male dogs butts to "shake hands"
*If your male dog likes to wear a bandanna
I'm sure there are a lot of other examples out there. It is getting late and severity of this issues is starting to loose its clout.
I will leave you with this.........who cares if your dog is gay. Just make sure that when your friends are over that you keep it from violating there personal space. Oh and get them a purple bandanna as this could be a good fare warning for strangers to know to run like hell when they start nosing them in there junk.

The meaning of Life
I have often pondered this question over the years. I will be honest I don't think there is a correct answer to this question. But I am sitting here thinking to myself that I must find the answer. So here I go, I am going to take a shot in the dark and say that I will find some interesting things by doing a good search.
Lets start with the Wikipedia answer which is the first thing I found in my search:
The meaning of life constitutes a philosophical question concerning the purpose and significance of human existence. The concept can be expressed through a variety of related questions, such as Why are we here?, What's life all about? and What is the meaning of it all?. It has been the subject of much philosophical, scientific, and theological speculation throughout history and there have been a large number of answers from many different cultural and ideological backgrounds.
The meaning of life is deeply mixed with the philosophical and religious conceptions of existence, consciousness, and happiness, and touches on many other issues, such as symbolic meaning, ontology, value, purpose, ethics, good and evil, free will, conceptions of God, the existence of God, the soul and the afterlife. Scientific contributions are more indirect; by describing the empirical facts about the universe, science provides some context and sets parameters for conversations on related topics. An alternative, human-centric, and not a cosmic/religious approach is the question "What is the meaning of my life?"
I think that I did a pretty good idea in guessing where the world would explore the meaning of life. Interesting fact is the Shakespeare thought that life was just a dream that we have not awaken from. But my question is a dreamer in this; can you dream during a dream? I don't know about you but I have dreams, some good others bad but still have dreams. I personally don't agree with this theory.
I think it is hard to wrap our minds around the idea that there is no meaning for us to be here. When I make someones day at that moment in time I feel like I have a reason to be here; but over time that feeling fades like the sunshine at dusk and the question still remains. But if there is a meaning to life is it our responsibility to figure out what it is? This is where the religious buffs would tell us that the meaning to life is to live a full life molded after the writing/teaching in the bible. Wasn't this book written by man? (more to come on that topic in a latter post) Here is where the religious peeps have the advantage; Once you die there is actually a plan for what will happen to you.
Isn't it scary to think that we may just live to die and that is it. This would make the most scientific sense. There is a lot in between however as in the living of life we make the choices on who we will associate with, what actions we will take, what choices we make, and plenty of other things. Then what happens, do the choices we make really make a difference.
I think our actions control more with what happens to the people around us more than we think. I like to look at this in the aspect of the butterfly effect. Even if there is nothing after we die (which may or not be true) I think our meaning or maybe purpose to to give the people behind us the privilege of making the same choices as we faced. I think our meaning is just that, not to make others fall into our beliefs but more to pave the way for them to make there own.
There is a lot of opinions when you do the google search; I know I just did it. One thing I always is that you go out the way you came in, in diapers. I know a little gross but most of the time its very true.
Just a thought to leave you with...............Live every day as if it were your last!!

Superficial World
Here is where my thought about this came. I was thinking how glad I am that my carrier waited out the rush of iPhone users and waited for that one exclusive phone that meets my business and personal needs. My Storm not only has all that fancy scrolling touchscreen technology but supports my business applications (eat your heart out iPhone). This was well worth the wait hands down.
So why is it that I am now finding myself getting caught up in the hype of must have gadgets? I would like to say its the mainstream media that is telling me what to purchase, but if that were the case I would have a whole closet full of goodies that I never use. Is it because I am getting to an age that I am able to afford more of this stuff? I don't think so as I have been able to afford it for some time now.
I still to this day think of myself as a very simple person. Even with some goodies that I do have. I have yet to fall into the trap of alot of the mainstream must haves. I plan on continuing along this line, I don't have time to use most that kewl stuff anyways.
Dang..........here I thought this would come out different on the page.

Bambi is a Killer
So this got me thinking, what is PETA's thought about hunting and what else they truly stand for. Sorry Pam Anderson but I don't know I can go with some of the things on their website. I totally understand the animal testing aspect of PETA and as far as I can tell that's where a lot of there beliefs began. This makes sense to me, especially since we now have ways to test our cosmetics without the use of animals. I'm not saying I would want to be a test victim for eye liner, but we have the technology out there to eliminate this anyways.
Here is where I think things get a little gray. I don't see a need for fur coats in the fashion world, great so we agree. I do however understand that when the natives of Alaska are freezing there red little bottoms off and wanna skin a seal to make a jacket that it is a necessity. They have been doing it since the beginning of time, stop protesting up there.
So back to my initial argument. There is a goop of what I will call PETiAlyte's out there that are protesting the hunting of wild game animals. After watching the special on why these animals are attacking humans and breaking in to residential homes and businesses. I am thinking that someone needs to explain the natural food chain to these extremists. So if they got there way, which they wont (to many NRA members out there) we would stop hunting game animals. This would throw off the natural balance of nature. If you want to be one to not eat meat and all that I am cool with that. But don't be the one to tell me its not alright for me to eat. Humans are carnivores! We always have been and most of us always will be.
So this is getting a little random and I apologize. I really just wanted to talk about deer attacking people. Got a little off page (it happens sometimes). Real issues with real solutions........ instead of pulling hunting permits in the areas that are getting over populated with deer and other game animals, lets start passing out more.
There enough said. Maybe next time I will included PETA's thought on plant cruelty. They are really make it hard for themselves to have anything to eat.......
